Mr. Chaos, I'm your host, Katina Anderson, and I'm grateful that you are here for episode two. Today we're talking about those moments when you feel like giving up. The moments when you are tired of fighting, tired of crying, tired of explaining, and tired of trying to hold everything together. But I want to remind you that even when life feels heavy, God still has a plan for your life. You may feel weak, but you are not defeated. You may feel broken, but you are not beyond repair. You may feel alone, but God has never left your side. So right now, dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for this moment. I thank you for every listener who has joined this episode. Lord, I ask that you meet each woman right where she is. If she's tired, give her strength. If she's hurting, bring healing. If she feels alone, remind her that you are near. Father, open our hearts to receive your word, your peace, and your encouragement. Let this episode be a reminder that even when you feel like giving up, you still have a plan for our lives. Speak through me. Guide my words. Allow every message shared today to bring hope, comfort, and faith. Lord, we invite your presence into this place. Let every listener feel seen, loved, covered, and strengthened by you. In Jesus' name. Amen. So our opening scripture for today is one of my favorites. Jeremiah 29, 11. For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give you an expected end. And I love this scripture because even in the midst of my storm, in the midst of my situation, I know God has a plan for me. And so this scripture reminds us that God's plan doesn't just evaporate because life becomes painful or difficult. Even in seasons of loss or confusion, divorce, abuse, betrayal, or disappointment. God's thoughts toward us are still good. He's not finished with us yet. So let's be honest about the pain. Let's take the mask off and be very transparent. And sometimes we try to act like everything is okay. And I will admit I am one who will put on the mask, who will put on the makeup and hide the hurt that I'm carrying because I don't want people to think that I am weak. Um and I've learned through this process, through this season, that it's okay. Um, and healing begins when we are honest about our pain, where we are emotionally. God can handle our tears, He can handle our questions, He can handle our exhaustion. So we don't need to pretend to be strong all the time, or I got it all together. There is strength in saying, Lord, I need you. Psalms 34, 18. The Lord is nigh unto them that are brokenhearted and saveth such as be of a con Christ spirit. So I just have some questions for you. What pain have you been carrying that you need to release to God? It's okay to say, God, I can't carry this, this is too heavy, and to give it to Him. And again, I think sometimes we feel we need to carry those burdens to um prove to people that we are equipped um to handle those situations, but it's okay in releasing that. And I've learned in this season that I'm in that it's okay for me to let go and let God to lay my burdens at his feet and know that he is going to carry me through. God gives strength when you have nothing left, and so there are moments when we are tired, we can't take another step, we can't make another move, but God gives us the grace to keep going. And and I want to be very transparent with you right now in this moment. I'm tired, I'm exhausted, but um I'm turning that over to God and knowing that He is going to give me the strength to keep going, and sometimes strength does not look like you have everything together, sometimes strength looks like you getting out of bed and praying through the tears and choosing peace or refusing to give up. God does not expect us to carry everything alone, he invites us to lean on him. And Isaiah 40, 29, he giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might, he increaseth strength. So this is a key reminder that when we don't have the strength to take another step, to run another inch, another mile, that when our strength runs out, God is going to carry us, he is going to see us through. The storm is not the end of your story. So when we're in the middle of our pain, it feels like it's always that way. And I remember the gospel song, I've been in the storm too long. And I literally posted that probably about a month or two ago on Facebook, that that song had been in my spirit, and that I had been in the storm too long. But sometimes those storms are temporary, and God can use the hurt, the pain that we are experiencing, that we are going through to strengthen us, to teach us, to restore us, and to prepare us for the purpose that He's laid out for us. The men, the enemy may have tried to destroy your peace, your confidence, your joy, your identity, but God can restore what is taken. And one of my other favorite scriptures is Joel 20, Joel 2, 25. And I restore it the years that the locusts have eaten. And I believe that in all honesty, that is what is carrying me through. That I know my God is going to restore everything that the enemy took for me, tried to take, he is going to give it back to me. Joel 2 25, and I will restore the years that the locust has eaten. So your pain has not disqualified you from your storm, has not canceled you from your purpose. God can turn your broken places into a testimony. Choosing faith over fear. And fear is not of God. Fear tells us that we won't make it, that we won't survive, that we won't see what God has set out for us. But faith reminds us that God has already worked it out and that He has a plan for us. Fear says that we are alone, but faith says God is with us. Fear says it's over, but faith says God is still working. He is doing a marvelous and wondrous work in your life. So choosing faith does not mean that you don't feel afraid, it means that you trust God even more when you are afraid. Second Timothy 1 7. For God have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. You can feel and still move forward in your faith when you have fear. Fear is just temporary, but we have to tell fear you don't have a place in our life, and tap into that faith that God has given us. And this is where we need to speak over ourselves. So during these difficult seasons, the words we speak matter. As they say, there is power in the tongue, and so we have to stop repeating what pain we feel and start declaring what God has said. So instead of saying I will never heal, say God is healing me day by day. Instead of saying I'm broken, say God is making me whole. Instead of saying I can't make it, with God I can overcome. With God, all things are possible. Proverbs 1821. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. So I want to take this moment to do some affirmations, and I want you to listen to this, and I want you to repeat these affirmations out loud. I am not defeated, I am healing, I am covered by God, I am stronger than what tried to break me. God still has a plan for my life. My storm will not stop my purpose. I am walking in faith, peace, and strength. I'm taking back everything, and I mean everything that the enemy tried to steal from me. So, dear Heavenly Father, I just come before you on behalf of every listener who is listening to this podcast. Lord, I just ask that you touch their hearts, dear God. They may be tired, they may be overwhelmed, they may be scared, but Lord, just let them know that you are there in the midst of their situation and to tap into their faith, their faith in you, knowing that you are going to carry them through for it right now. I just ask that you cover these women who feel broken, who feel overwhelmed, feel tired, and feel alone. Let them know that you are right there. Wrap your loving arms around them, dear God. You said in your word, you never leave us, you never forsake us. And so right now I just ask that you allow your peace to enter the lives of the listeners, that they may feel your calm in spirit, that they may feel your your arms wrapped around them. Let them know that you have the final say. Amen. So before we close, I want to remind you that giving up is not an option. You survive too much to stop now. God has carried you before, he will carry you again. And I'm speaking to myself that I know God is going to bring me through. He is going to see me through this situation. You may be in your storm, but you're still standing. You may be hurting, but you're still healing. You may feel weak, but God is giving you the strength one day at a time. So let's take a deep breath. Wipe our tears and keep moving forward and knowing that our God is not finished with us yet. Philippians 1, 6. Being confident of this very thing that he with which have saith began, a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. So thank you for listening to this episode of surviving the storm, finding yourself in the midst of chaos. If this episode encouraged you, share it with another woman who may need a reminder that God still has a plan for her life. Be sure to subscribe, follow, stay connected so you don't miss the next episode. Until next time, remember, you are not just surviving the storm. You are becoming stronger than you thought. And so our closing affirmations: I am chosen by God. I am not alone in the storm. God is giving me strength for today. My pain will not destroy my purpose. I am healing at God's pace. I release fear and receive peace. I am becoming stronger, wiser, and whole. God is restoring everything connected to me. I will not give up because God is not finished with me. My testimony is still being written. And so just some journal props for you who like to journal. I want you to think about what is one area of your life that you feel like giving up? What promise from God can you hold on to this week? What do I need to release in prayer? And how has God carried me through this difficult season before? And my pastor preached this on Sunday. Sometimes we got to go back and we got to look at all of the good things that God has done. We got to do a replay. We got to look at all of the good things that He has done before and know that He is going to do it again. That's the Heavenly Father we serve. And so, what affirmations are you going to speak over your life daily this week? Affirm yourself, encourage yourself. Like Donald Lawrence song says, speak over yourself, encourage yourself in the Lord. Because the the storm is tiring, the storm is exhausting. But he's with us. So until next time, God bless, be safe, and know that God still has a plan and a purpose, even in the midst of your storm and situation. Be blessed.
